Students are required to present at least two pages of drawings in their sketchbook each Monday. The sketchbook must be in the room at the beginning of class. Passes will not be given to lockers; sketchbooks are not accepted after Monday.
If a student is absent on Monday, they need to present their sketchbook on Tuesday, or whatever day they return to class. (This also applies if the teacher is absent, or if there is no school on Monday-- holidays, snow days, etc.)
Each page may consist of one large drawing, or a group of smaller drawings. The sketchbook is for practice drawing, improving drawing skills, coming up with ideas for personal artwork, and sometimes just for having fun.
Each page should represent at least 15-20 minutes of work to receive full credit. If a student only presents one page but obviously spendt a significant amount of time and effort, the second page will likely be waived for that week.
Subject matter: really, anything is permissible (as long as it is "school appropriate"). Anime and Manga drawings are okay, but I don't want to see it every week-- you should be doing other things as well.
